Alcatraz, the once-infamous maximum-security prison located on a remote island in the San Francisco Bay, has been closed for over 60 years. Now, President Trump has announced plans to bring it back. Trump said the move would restore Alcatraz as a powerful symbol of law, order, and justice.

We certainly wouldn’t have trouble finding any. After they’ve finished, they can move in.
The place is a TOTAL BLAST to visit, so I’m against this plan.

Michigan’s Upper Peninsula would be a great place. Build a prison with only one road in. I would guarantee an escapee would not likely find his way out. All swamp and underbrush too think to break through. I would think about 4 square miles would be enough.
About 40 years ago, I went on a tour of Alcatraz. It was quite interesting though creepy. boat Ride out, walk through the prison , boat ride back.
That island belongs to the native people. Return it. Outsource the prisons to El Salvador
InCapacity would have to be severely reduced to acommodate a gym, media rooms, conjugal visits, law school classrooms, gender transitional facilities, and “safe spaces”, etc. Not viable!
It’s not just a troll, though. Trump is directing Trump admin people to work on this nonsensical fairy tale. They won’t be doing something else constructive to advance other items on the Trump agenda.

I was thinking similar thoughts. Instead of restarting the prison, just drop any and all into the center of the Alcatraz island. Make sure that all internet / cell service is jammed. Just let them rot and kill each other. If anyone tries to tunnel, have the experienced Israelis take care of it.
