Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on Friday dared border czar Tom Homan to arrest her for what she claimed was legal advice she gave to migrants on how to avoid being deported.
Homan responded to the congresswoman’s taunt by saying he was already exploring her arrest with the U.S. Justice Department.

After AOC’s town hall dare, Homan told Fox News, “I’m working with the Department of Justice and finding out, ‘Where is that line that they cross?’ So maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now.”
In an appearance in February on Sunday Morning Futures, Homan was more specific: - What she needs to do is read the statutes enacted by Congress… because it’s a crime to enter this country illegally. Not only that, but when you harbor and conceal and impede law enforcement, that’s a felony. What she’s doing, she says she’s educating everybody on their constitutional rights, and we all know they’ve got constitutional rights, but what she’s really doing… she’s trying to teach them how to evade law enforcement.
At the town hall, Ocasio-Cortez also took on one of the Trump administration’s most popular immigration policies. She called the removal of Venezuelan gang members “sanctioned kidnappings.”
She claimed that without a warrant, agents don’t have “carte blanche” to enter and arrest gang members.
President Trump’s highest approval ratings, polls consistently have shown, come from his tough crackdown on illegal crossings and removal of criminal illegal aliens and gang members.

I’m aware that anytime you mention Hitler online, you lose. But Hitler was a nobody until he was arrested and prosecuted. The prosecution and imprisonment were theater which Hitler took advantage of to gain name recognition. There’s something called “The Streisand Effect.” California had photographed the entire coastline and that included Barbara Streisand’s home. She sued to have the photo taken down. Up to that point, it had been downloaded once, presumably by Streisand’s lawyers. After the lawsuit, it was downloaded thousands of times. My point is, this would seem like a weak attempt to silence a congressman, and it might simply be a huge boost to her political ambitions.

This is stupid...ignore her. She wants to be made a martyr.
What matters is not his case but her jury pool. And she knows it.
Even if AOC does something that is clearly illegal and there is indisputable evidence that she committed the crime, if she is tried in a court with a Demonicrat judge and a Demonicrat jury, she would not be convicted.
Assuming that she wasn’t talking out her ass - a lie - Homan would need to find said illegals or a witness.
I’m sure that charges would be forthcoming in that event, but I doubt they’ll find a witness or the actual illegals.
If they do, I’ll be making popcorn for everyone!
Actually, he does have the authority. He’s a law enforcement officer. It’s the attorney general who has the authority to prosecute or not prosecute.
Bondi is doing what President Trump wants her to do.
There will be no prosecutions of elected Democrats. The main focus is on cutting off funding for Democrat patronage jobs and removing Democrat minions from the bureaucracy.
Bondi has fired most of the obstructive people in DOJ, but she has not been allowed to replace them or perhaps cannot replace them with more reliable people. She must use the staff she has left on a limited number of cases.
Her priority is defending against Democrat lawfare. That is mostly responding to the pop-up judges who keep issuing "STOP" orders for everything President Trump is doing. There are hundreds of those injunctions now and the DOJ staff responds instantly with opposition to every one of them. That is where Bondi is spending her time and efforts.
Corruption cases against those same judges would be a possibility, as many of the judges are quiet obviously making lawless rulings which directly benefit themselves or family members through payments from NGOs. But such cases take too much time to prepare, and the venue must be chosen carefully. A Democrat judge or jury would guarantee acquittals.
Also, the FBI is insubordinate to Presidential authority and cannot be trusted to investigate Democrats. Director Kash Patel has a lot of dismissals and reassignments left to do in order to get control of that agency. He had best get on with them.
