Just some fun for us old people who remember the special thing that happened for the Universe during summer 1977.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Not to be pedantic, but it’s spelled “Fourth”.
And yes, I’m old enough to remember waiting in line to see the original Star Wars film (sigh!).
Dammit!
“go forth and multiply.”
🙂
3 hours in line opening day here. Less than 15 minutes after start, a bomb threat caused the theater to be emptied. The projector was not turned off.
It took me over 20 years to see the part about the sand people.
Memories!!
This is my wedding anniversary. I was saying this to my husband before all of this started happening. 😁
Went to the opening Midnight showing at the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Had a lot of fun standing in line for a couple of hours with a great group of people!
Congrats! May you have many more.
I went to the bank on May 3
I asked the young female (hope I can write female) to confirm the date
She said May 3.
I asked if she knew what tomorrow was.
She replied with confidence “Sunday”.
I wished to her and all the young tellers “May the 4th be with you”
The young ones gave me a blank stare
The middle aged female manager gave me a smirk
I was about 10. My father took me. I hated it. I said it was a bunch of sword fighting with flashlights, dumb bad guys that couldn’t hit anything with their weapons, and worst of all, “it focused too much on a stupid girl”. I will never forget giving him my opinions in the car as we left the parking lot, innocently oblivious that it was the beginning of a massive, really stupid franchise.
I was there dood!
I stood in line to see it, and after it was over got back in line to see it again.
