Tesla CEO Elon Musk is obsessed with America’s falling birth rate. In 2019, he predicted that “the biggest problem the world will face in 20 years is population collapse.” Just last month, he told Fox News it’s the main thing that “keeps him up at night.” And according to an April 15 report in the Wall Street Journal, Musk is personally using in vitro fertilization (IVF) to sire what he has described as a “legion” of children — at least 14 so far, with four different women — “before the apocalypse.”
“Low birth rates will end civilization,” the billionaire warned last week on X (which he owns).
Musk’s preoccupation is so intense — and his sway with President Trump so strong — that the White House is now reportedly considering various right-wing “pronatalist” policies to incentivize and encourage more births: $5,000 lump-sum “baby bonuses” for every American mother after delivery; government-funded programs to educate women on their menstrual cycles so they can better understand when they are able to conceive; even a “National Medal of Motherhood” for women with at least six children.
"Sounds like a good idea to me," Trump said Tuesday when asked about the possibility of a federal baby bonus.
But do everyday Americans share Musk and Trump’s concern?
Not really, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll. The survey of 1,597 U.S. adults, which was conducted from April 25-28, shows that only 8% of them say they’re “very worried” — and just 32% say they’re worried at all — about the U.S. birthrate falling “significantly over the past 20 years."
In contrast, nearly six in 10 Americans (59%) say they’re “not very worried” (30%) or “not worried at all” (29%).

Well aren’t you just a bit self righteous? I thought he was talking about the human population as a whole, and I still do. Elon Musk is not dumb enough to make racist remarks, even if they are true. Kind of ironic don’t you think? Not too long ago the push was on for reducing the human population, over crowding, too much pollution, using too much resources, etc. Now the opposite? I guess we were a bit too successful. There is also the staggering number of abortions all over. From my perspective, and we don’t live in an area of the state that is affected by the invasion of illegals that much, but not too far away, the 10 million plus has made for a lot of congestion. I realize that where they came from lost population, but for the time being there are enough people here. I don’t think Elon Musk needs to worry...yet.
We don’t need to give incentive to those that don’t have a mother and father in the home. Certainly not those that are already collecting welfare.
To change this perception the SS COLA and SS/Medicare tax rates should get annual adjustments based on the ups and downs of birth rates.
That isn't the issue. The issue is the degree to which the people contribute in a useful manner to society. An over-abundance of knuckle-draggers won't maintain society and industry. They would destroy it.
Its the behavior more so than the race. Some on this planet are civilized, others are not.

California was 86% White in 1970, I was here and still remember it.
There were fifth generation Californians all over Los Angeles and the Bay Area in the 50’s. It wasn’t a “state of immigrants” unless you counted people from Kansas as “immigrants”.
You may recall we had real immigration laws from 1882 onward, and a defining law in 1924. It limited immigration mainly to Northwestern Europe. That law applied to California as well, back when California was still American.
But garbage like Paul Ehrlich - a misfortunate addition to our population from the so-called “Great Wave” - babbled about “Overpopulation “ in the late 60s peddling his disaster hoax and along with others of his ilk he created the Birth Dearth of the 1970s leading to the rapid decline of the American population. And then his buddies on the Left started larping about the “need” for immigration.
There was never any need for immigration and there was never any risk of overpopulation. Those were scare stories pushed by them to convince the Evil Capitalist Americans to suicide themselves. Worked in California! State will be majority Mexican in a few years.

By 1950, estimates suggest Hispanics neared 10–12% due to increased migration. Los Angeles and agricultural areas like the San Joaquin Valley had sizable Latino communities
European-Americans were 80% in 1948 due to early 20th-century migration from other U.S. states and European immigration. The 1940 Census reported about 89.5% of Californians as White (including some Hispanics), but by 1950, this dropped to ~86.5% as minority populations grew.

Are the children of recent European or Russian immigrants more “white” to you than 3rd generation Hispanics who may be pale skinned like Anya Taylor Joy?
California prior to 1848 was Mexican.
But no one said it was Mexican after that.
What I did say was that many of the “white” kids bitprn today in California would be children of reent immigrants, like Sergey Brins children.
Are the children of recent European or Russian immigrants more “white” to you than 3rd generation Hispanics who may be pale skinned like Anya Taylor Joy?
