That wonderful Christian Russia.

So far, the only nation that has dropped a nuclear bomb on any nation has been the U.S.

I'm not saying that we were wrong to do so. Just saying that Christianity has no bearing on the topic. Survival is a natural reaction, and reason seems to catch the first train out when that survival is under threat.

“”””So far, the only nation that has dropped a nuclear bomb on any nation has been the U.S.””””

So, look at WWII and compile a list of the nations suffering at the hands of another nation and you will see that America’s effective fight against Italy, Japan and Germany looks pretty good and reflected our Christian values.

Japan’s civilian losses were in the 100s of thousands, not the millions, yet countries Japan invaded suffered civilian losses in the 10s of millions.

You can also look at how Non-Christian Russia fought the war, from their invasions of conquest to fighting off Germans after the team turned on itself.

That being said, reason predicted an even more horrific death toll if Hiroshima and Nagasaki had not been nuked. Millions of Japanese and Americans would fight and die for the Emperor or for victory over Japan.

WORSE, without the examples of the instant destruction those two Japanese and the lingering effects of radiation, that IF The Bomb had not been used, we and later Russia (and who knows who all else) would think of A-bombs as nothing more than bigger and better bombs and there would be minimal restraint to using them in a subsequent global conflict.

What today's world would look like after one major nuclear war is an exercise left to you, gentle reader, to contemplate...

Survival is a natural reaction [...]

Are you attempting to imply that Putin is fighting for his survival?! That Putin invaded Ukraine in Feb. of 2022 because he feared for Russia's survival?!

FACT: Putin is waging a war of conquest.

Regards,

Excellent post.

Also, let’s not forget that Ukraine allows and happily celebrates gay pride parades. Such parades are forbidden in Russia.

Sorry, but Ukraine doesn’t sound that “Christian” to me.
