That might be a false headline (updating my post- I should have said 'interpretation). I heard Zelensky say a few days ago that the Ukraine was ready for its next purchase of Patriot missiles, which are used to shoot down missiles coming from Russia. I would like to see what it being sent and who is paying/shipping it.
Also, the article stresses that 'Putin refused the treaty' but doesn't emphasize, 'Because Zelensky refused to agree to international declaration that territory that Russia occupies, including Crimea and Oblasts which were independent and under attack by Western Ukraine, becomes part of Russia.'
It takes two to tango; I think Putin Knows Zelensky/NATO would return to fighting for occupied territory and Putin wants the fighting to stop.

"The Kremlin has expressed a willingness for talks with Kyiv, but this week rejected a US peace proposal because it did not grant international recognition of the territory its forces seized in Ukraine."

Ukraine doesn't have the pilots to fly them and it doesn't have the modern/pristine air strips and air defenses needed to protect them. I believe some were already blown up parked on runways.
It's almost Trump trolling because Zelensky asked for these materials a long time ago and now that there's little of the 'fleet' left (I think about 6 were originally delivered to Ukraine by NATO), Trump sends the old dead F-16's for parts.

At the current rate of Ukraine’s decline, they may not be around when the mining and production takes place a few years down the road.
What happened to the rebuilding deal Biden made with Ukraine, the one BlackRock was put in charge of?
