{From my home State of Kentucky comes, hopefully, some good news.} Now., on with the post.....
CNN’s lone conservative commentator Scott Jennings is reportedly considering running for Senate in Kentucky to replace Mitch McConnell. He would be a fantastic choice for this.
Not only is Jennings a conservative, he knows exactly how to deal with the liberal media. His work at CNN has been like a trial by fire.
Jennings is also well known to the people of Kentucky. It’s his home state.

“If he wants somebody else, I’ll support that candidate,” said Jennings in his mellifluous, Southern drawl, playing the role of Kentucky statesman in his three-piece tuxedo.
If Republicans want a guaranteed GOP seat in Kentucky, they had better go with Jennings – especially if President Trump endorses him. He’s got the name recognition, rhetorical chops, and understanding of politics that would be needed to help advance Trump’s agenda in the Senate.
In fact, if he does run, and Trump gives his blessing, he is sure to win. In fact, he might not even need to campaign. Okay, that last part was a joke – but I’m not far off. After what seemed to be 80 decades of Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republicans are pining for change – not more of the self-righteous GOP establishment. Jennings appears to fit that bill perfectly.
If Jennings does run, the biggest loser would be CNN. He’s the only reason to watch the network these days.
He is the best thing on CNN. He manages to give equal fire despite being badly outnumbered and surrounded by deluded rat idiots.
Problem is, Scott Jennings is a Bush Republican.
Scott Jennings would be a great choice. He’s a true fighter who fiercely stands up against his CNN colleagues’ idiotic liberal comments and never gives an inch. We need fighters, and Jennings is one of them in spades.
Good looking fella. Mild mannered and youngish. Good for 12 years I’ll say. I’m getting tired of Rand.
Not hard to give equal fire when your opponents are utterly unarmed.
“Problem is, Scott Jennings is a Bush Republican.”
Not much anymore. Listen to him. And Trump acknowledged Jennings personally and very favorably a short time ago at I forget what TV event. And he would win if he runs.
So, a step up from McTurtle?
i watch CNN every time Jennings is on their shows. Hes become a legend, he literally toys with the lefty libs on that network...great stuff.
He speaks to conservative principles and values.
He is supposedly a Bush Republican?
This is part of a perennial debate here on Free Republic, namely, that most Republicans are too liberal for people here. If we can find a true Free Republic conservative to run in Kentucky, let’s go for it. Otherwise, people such as Jennings will be candidates for office, even if they don’t pass muster with some people here.
the Bushes are long gone...nobody thinks about them anymore. Trump demolished that brand. Jennings has been awesome on CNN ...
“If Jennings does run, the biggest loser would be CNN.”
That’s the first thing that came to my mind!
Every morning we watch Chicks On The Right podcast, and we can pretty much count on them showing at least one Scott Jennings clip. He is so good.
Isn't there anyone in Kentucky who could run? A Rep or a state senator or mayor?
You really think cnn would have a REAL Conservative working for them ?
Not a chance they would
He just PLAYS ONE ON TV.
Kentucky can do way better
( Trump called whitmore a nice name at his rally too, he was just being polite, wasn't an endorsement and neither is it one for Scott ) .
CNN’s lone conservative commentator!?!?
Talk about being stuck on a desert island!
Are the Democrats running Beshear for the Senate? If Cameron is the Republican nominee for Senator, we will see a re-run of their 2023 competition. KY is ripe for a Democrat takeover; don’t get overconfident.
Well if he is just another bush rino he sure knows how to pose as a good guy.
Can we get rid of Rand Paul too?
Almost anyone is better than McConnell
