I never liked Connery in that role.

I did see recently that he was quite angry about the behavior of crowds of fans and the photographers.

No, not because he was being the narcissist being dismissive of fans but because of how rude they had all gotten especially in Japan. He was being swarmed to the point that he couldnt take a dump because the doors kept being pried open with one picture of him sitting on the toilet being published.

I think just about anyone would become angry over a situation like that.
