So the instinctive behavior of elephants reacting to potential danger is a powerful metaphor. Ok, let me take a wild stab at this. You lost an election. The political landscape is shifting and you feel threatened. So you huddle together instead of scattering like frightened donkeys. You circle the wagons, protecting your own interests instead of understanding why you lost. Good, keep it up.
