Thanks for clarifying deflation’s dangers. I assumed prices on eggs, meat, butter, etc., would gradually decline with increased production. I’ve seen prices on pork and chicken come off their insane pandemic highs so I’m still holding out for beef to join them, too. I refuse to accept that there’s no such thing as a “cheap cut” of beef. This is America, dammit!
Just need to remember it takes time to work through the system - cost of feed/fuel/etc goes down before cost of beef/chicken/pork end product, else they have to sell at a loss.
Chicken works through faster than pork which I think is faster than beef due to the shorter amounts of time to mature.
