A lieutenant with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office was arrested by the City of Miami Police Department, Local 10 News learned Tuesday.
“It’s a superfluous charge that was unnecessary,” Daniel Chala said...
The false imprisonment charge, however, was dropped in bond court Tuesday.
Chala’s arrest report details the allegations against him, stating that officers responded to his apartment building Monday morning where they found the victim who said that she had been assaulted by Chala.

Years ago, when I was assigned to an Air Base in the UK, I had friends among the Security Forces Airmen. There was a certain group among their unit that had a “tradition” of taking a new guy to a particular establishment in Soho.
One dude went there, ended up leaving with someone (much to the entertainment of his fellows), reacted violently to “the big surprise” and was chased through the streets after having beaten the snot out of the perv.
As he left the apartment building, the dude screamed out the window that he’d been beaten up and a mob of weirdos ran after him.
