For the Euro-reich and their fellow travelers it is, but the rest of us celebrate the defeat of the Nazi regime 80 years ago.

Mao didn’t defeat the Nazis, he defeated us and China.

Wow, that China and us were defeated by Mao and his communists, they rule China today while the China we supported fled and created little Taiwan.

Soviet Union and China were our biggest allies during WWII, now they are our biggest enemies.

No good deed goes unpunished.

The USSR and China lost far more people in the war than any other nations. Let them celebrate.

The Soviet Union did not join the war in the East until after Nazi Germany was defeated. At the time of V-Day the Soviets were technically at peace/alliance with the Japanese. They switched sides in the East a few days before the Japanese surrendered. Our Chinese allies were not Mao’s regime that rules in Beijing today. Our Chinese allies were the folks who are now the government in Taipei.

We gave Mao a lot of help. We knew he would ultimately prevail.

Everyday the US & Russia continue the pointless Ukraine ‘pissing contest’, is a day filled with joyous laughter in Beijing...

The memory of those losses is responsible for the current failed Russian effort to recapture the buffer zone that is Ukraine.

Who indoctrinated you people?

The two worst mass murderers in history were our enemies and not friends, we used Stalin’s help to defeat Germany but Russia was no friend and they were an evil enemy that we allied with and then faced for the next 50 years and are still facing today, while China fell and was driven to Taiwan as Mao defeated us and China, and his communists rule it still today.

If you want to join the celebration of the Communist participation in the war that they helped start with their ally Hitler, then fly over there, you can join Communist China in that celebration.

At the time of V-Day the Soviets were technically at peace/alliance with the Japanese.

They fought in 1939, and the Soviets kicked their butt. That’s why immediately afterward the Japs started looking at going after Indochina and the Dutch East Indies, which put them on a collision course with the US.

The notion that I'd need the permission from a gutless NATO lickspittle to do anything is risible.

“the US should be there as well.”

A platoon of Peepers marching and saluting to Putin, Kim and Mao. That would be a good will gesture beneficial for both sides.

After the parade, kacaps ship them to Ukraine where they increase their “gigantic gains” - helping to capture another 100m of a strategically important potato field before they hit the ground. US get rid of the 5th columnists. Win-win situation.
