They made no sound, left no visable trail, and traveled from the western horizon to the eastern horizon.
I thought it was unusual, so I pointed it out to a Durhan Police Officer standing near me, and he thought so too.
They appeared to be very close in line, but it was hard to tell at that altitude.
Any ideas?
How could they fly in a straight line without massive turbulence?
27 Amazon Kuiper satellites.
From west to east over Durham NC
Yes, it might save somebody from an Alien Invasion heart attack. The REAL Aliens, not the “honored Democrat guests” coming across the border.
I was amazed to learn that they appear as a “train” for 1 to 3 weeks before separating and moving to higher orbits.
That is exactly what it looked like.
Thank you for solving the puzzle.
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you. You saved me a lot of time digging for more information.
It all makes perfect sense the way you explained it.
🙏🙏🙏
My guess is they are being independently programmed for destination in low earth orbit. (after proven operability)
This stuff is way beyond my Iridium days.
It.
People who call musk dumb are retarded. Remember iridium? You could get a dot^bit sailing map on your boat after minutes. Now there’s an ISP`over our heads.
As you see by my description, I did not speculate what they were.
I’m a scientist and try my best to observe and describe without speculation. This is why I love FR as there are a lot of educated intelligent folks here.
Thank you all for helping to solve the puzzle.

The attack on Raleigh has begun.
I saw a Starlink train twice last week. Thursday evening and then again on Friday evening spread out a little farther apart. Counted 25 on Friday. Pretty certain it was the same one. I have seen a Starlink train 5 times in all.
In my village here on the coast it is very dark on moonless nights and will typically count 15 to 20 satellites going in different directions on a clear night before the Earth’s shadow takes over. I also will see the Falcon 9 rocket whenever it takes off on a trajectory to the northeast out of Florida.
Never gets old.
Like when I lived just south of DFW in Arlington.
You could set a watch on the timing.
One day we were grilling on the balcony and noticing thunder clouds and wind. About 30 minutes we could hear the crash of a Delta plane because of a wind shear.
I had no idea!
Yep. Just launched from Florida recent.
We used to vacation at Lake Almanor in northern California. One night, my son was probably 4 or 5 at the time (30 years ago), we went out on the back deck of the house we were renting and I told him about satellites and how to spot one. I told him if we laid on our backs and watched we might see one, but we probably wouldn’t be that lucky.
Not ten seconds later he says “Dad, look, is that a satellite?” Sure enough, there was a real bright one soaring through the heavens! He spotted his first satellite that quickly. Darnedest thing!
Starlink
LOL 😂😂😆
Looks like Starling was overhead

Black roof country, no gold pavements, tired starlings

With lights on?
Never mind. It was sun reflection.
