Washington is overrun with hacks who talk big about stopping corruption, but Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) is putting his money where his mouth is, Breitbart News can exclusively reveal.

Moreno signed on to cosponsor Sen. Josh Hawley’s (R-MO) landmark legislation to ban congressional stock trading, an issue many Americans believe to be among the most significant marks of public corruption in Washington.

The PELOSI Act was reintroduced Monday, Breitbart News’s Elizabeth Weibel reported. The bill, formally titled the Preventing Elected Leaders from Owning Securities and Investments (PELOSI) Act, would “amend chapter 131 of title 5, United States Code, to prohibit transactions involving certain financial instruments by Members of Congress,” according to the bill’s text.

Normally, I don't particularly care for the cutesy names DC comes up with for legislation, especially when the name is directly opposite of what is in the bill. But this one is appropriately named.

The hag literally had a fund created to track her 'investing' record.

Insider trading is the main reason politicians spend millions to become “public servants”.

When they become a congress critter the only thing they should be able to control is their pay and everything else should go to a trust until they’re no loner a congress critter

I would love to hear what she says in private about this bill. To have her name forever wedded with a bill that addresses her corruption.

This bill has good intentions. That’s for sure. But I can’t see how it would do much good.

So a congressman and his spouse won’t be able to trade on insider information. But what about passing on that information to children and siblings? Am I missing something here?

(And no, I don’t have a good solution for that. Perhaps the law should also prohibit passing on that information.)

“But what about passing on that information to children and siblings?”

That’s called Insider Trading and it’s a felony.

Way past time for this. If these SOB’s want to trade in stocks, they can wait until they are no longer elected.

There was a massive trade of put options around the time of the Clinton Epi Pen announcement. I dont remember details. It may have been in the index rather than the stock of the company
