When you buy on eBay, you are basically buying from a local person, some guy in garage with a bunch of merchandise. He’s just not local to you.
Yes,
and unfortunately Congress is still run by the commie/nazi leftwingers (aided and abetted by a handful of backstabbing RINOs)
so success is doubtful imho
Without cheap crap “placeholders” from china, most of America wouldn’t be experiencing the imitation of a middle class life.
America has been gutted and hollowed out.
Let’s not forget their is a conservative ecommerce alternative that get’s little love called PublicSq
For years, Amazon’s third party sellers have been taught how to source products from China and many have have done so very successfully. I really have no problem with thousands of miscellaneous items - from kitchen gadgets to decor items - coming from China; you just can’t get them made affordably here. I have a huge problem with China making our drugs and airplane parts.
“I really have no problem with thousands of miscellaneous items - from kitchen gadgets to decor items - coming from China; you just can’t get them made affordably here.”
Stuff that can be made and packaged by automated equipment should be made in the USA.
The percentages in the chart add up to FAR More than 100%
“Maybe we should CELEBRATE if Amazon goes down.”
I conceive of Amazon as a merchandise stocking, display and delivery company. Computers and robots all the way. A major blossoming use of this stuff.
They’ll do well regardless of merchandise price assuming the prices are competitive with other suppliers.
Amazon is way more than that with AWS, they are one of the top IT companies.
There is nothing on Amazon that doesn’t also have a competitor who is also on amazon.
People try to tell me that much of the “new” stuff is shoplifted.
“Amazon is way more than that with AWS, they are one of the top IT companies.”
In addition to the stuff they sell that we’re all familiar with, do they also sell IT services? If so, give an example or two. Thanks!
American companies are often just resellers of products made by Chinese companies.
About those products we stopped making. I knew a Colorado democrat who made a business by taking apart USA factories and shipping the machinery and plans to China. he was proud. One aspect is that China got patents on much of the former US products. So we have machine, labor, design, and patent problems to get restarted.
They also are the primer supplier of retail items to the government as they have a very very special deal where you do not have to fill out RFP forms. Just point and click until your tax payer funded account is empty.
And they get special shipping rates which means they can undercut any rival company. This is also funded by the taxpayer.
Clinton's buddy does very well for himself.
“They are the major government contractor for cloud storage ... get special shipping rates ... funded by the taxpayer.”
Wow! Ugh!
“ Think about how much stuff people have in storage units that could be resold.”
When I moved to Florida two years ago, I got rid of about 90% of everything I owned. I have replaced about 10%. It is so refreshing to live without all that stuff. Admittedly, I am in the winding down phase of life not the building up.
If it crashes the day after Bezos sends Katy Perry back into orbit and he can’t afford to bring her back, we’ll be getting somewhere. :)
Wonder how many invests in Chinese labor camp products?.
No wonder Sears and hundreds of others went out of business.
