Just a reminder that, even in peace time, the job of being in the military is dangerous - as shown by the 4 soldiers killed in Lithuania.

Basic training has a history of having recruits die. This is nothing new...........

We had two commit suicide in my building, and one had a heart attack during PT.

We lost one in basic on a run with packs at Ft. Polk and during that period (Vietnam) it wasn’t unheard of for a basic recruit to go off on the shooting range, range sergeants used to be jumpy and alert.
