Recommend a browser?

Posted on 04/26/2025 7:35:05 PM PDT by LouAvul

I'm using Duck Duck Go. Tried to download Google but Microsoft (I'm using Windows 10) popup said I was trying to install an app not approved by MS. They want me to go through their store.

I'll try something else. Brave? Is that FR approved?

Suggestions?

thnx

I also used Opera, but it lacked compatibility with some websites, and it wanted more work than I wanted to put into it. Iridium is OK, but it too, being Chrome based, is limited. Brave is the best compromise I have found, and I especially like how it eliminates Youtube ads with no fuss!

I still use MS Edge but ONLY for certain things that don’t like Brave or Iridium *OR* my VPN, and I ensure that the cache is wiped before closing it.

Brave is a must for android due to its built in ad blocker. For Windows 11 I mostly use chrome, then edge, then brave. Using tab suspender extension with chrome to cut down on memory usage.
Other chrome extensions I use-
Ghostery
Session buddy

Brave gets rid of Youtube ads in streams which occur every 10 minutes. Yes, you can modify the other browsers with extensions, but as far as I know, Brave is the only browser that does this by default. I’ve been using it since 2021
