I'm using Duck Duck Go. Tried to download Google but Microsoft (I'm using Windows 10) popup said I was trying to install an app not approved by MS. They want me to go through their store.
I'll try something else. Brave? Is that FR approved?
Suggestions?
thnx

Thank you very much and God bless you.
I absolutely LOVE Brave.
Startpage!!
Brave is my go-to browser, too.
Brave. I use it on both my PCs, tablet & phone.
If you’re not hyper concerned about privacy, Edge tends to outperform Chrome regarding consumer app integration on Windows.
I use Opera.
I removed that S mode that won’t allow you to download anything that’s not sold in their Microsoft store.
I happen to like Opera, but it’s just a personal preference.
I’ve heard good things about Bravo from my friend who works in IT security — and he’s very, very good.
I use Brave as my primary, Google Chrome as a secondary. I used to use Firefox as my primary (and still have it installed on most machines) but the continuous stream of updates kept breaking plug ins. I try to avoid MS Edge.
As a practical matter, both Brave and Edge are customized builds of Google’s Chromium, which is closely related to Google’s on Chrome.
Warning about Brave - some of their features don’t work on Win7 and you are likely to run into the same issues on Win10 once Microsoft abandons it. I do know MS is considering offering life extensions on Win10 for folks willing to pay for it, so I’m not sure when Brave is planning to actually abandon its Win10 customers.
How did you remove the ‘S’ mode?
It is real simple.
Brave.
Another vote for Brave.
LibreWolf is a security-focused version of Firefox.
Brave browser, Startpage as my search page.
I’ve been using LibreWolf for a few weeks now.
Brave is great - with the caveat that quite a few sites will have most relevant content blocked by Brave Shields. You will quickly come to realize how many sites are trying to spy on you. And you will need to keep Chrome to access a few sites, which absolutely require an “approved” browser.
I recommend Web Browser
I use Safari and like it, but I hear Brave is very good.
