Fetterman says he 'can't understand why Trump would negotiate with this diseased regime' in Iran.

"Waste that s---," the lawmaker declared to the Washington Free Beacon. "You're never going to be able to negotiate with that kind of regime that has been destabilizing the region for decades already, and now we have an incredible window, I believe, to do that, to strike and destroy Iran's nuclear facilities."

He’s remembering his Ming the Merciless persona.

Yeah, he’s nuts. If we want to be honest about de-stabilization, then the US would be light-years ahead of any other country in recent history.

I agree that our carries can waste-away Third World countries without much effort. However, Iran has had 45 years to get ready for attack by the West and they are a very large country with targets that require some serious distance flying and they have some serious air defense capabilities. We would likely get some blows in, but they’ll survive the bulk of it, and then we’ll be back where we started.

It’s past time to deliver an ultimatum to Iran, make it their choice. Full and unfettered access and full dismantling, or strategic strikes and a permanent squeeze on their economy.

Most of the US aid to Israel-—approximately $3.3 billion a year-—is provided as grants under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program.

In October 2023, the Joe Biden administration said Israel had nearly six hundred active Foreign Military Financing (FMF) cases, totalling around $24 billion.

Israel has also historically been permitted to use a portion of its FMF aid to buy equipment
from irs own Israeli defense firms—a benefit not granted to other recipients of U.S. military aid.

US aid reportedly accounts for some 15 percent of Israel’s defense budget. Israel, like many other countries, also buys U.S. military products outside of the Foreign Military Financing program.

In other instances, when Israel’s borrowed US funds came due,
Israel got the US Congress to convert the “loans” into “gifts.”

“What kind of retaliation could they take they have not already tried?”

One concern is Iran shutting down the Straights of Hormuz and oil supply. If this occurred big spike in prices. The missile battery systems along the coastline might not be as easy to hunt and destroy if they are not turned on.

Iran could try to shut down the strait, but their navy is pathetic compared to ours. We could sink their ships just for a naval practice exercise.

You’re correct about their navy will be easy targets, but I was referring to their fix missile battery system distributed around the mountainous areas of the gulf. Those systems will be more difficult to hunt and destroy, especially when compared to the SCUDS of the ‘90s and even then our success rate wasn’t that high.

Sattelites, spy planes, drones. We’ll find their missiles. They can run, but they can’t hide.
