No, not every invasions is a US interest. This is a mainstay of normal US policy. When the Brits had their Suez crisis, Ike kept us out. When Argentina captured the Falklands, we stayed out of it.
If every border crossing invasion on earth is a US interest for some nebulous emotional “no man is an island” thinking, that means every single war on earth involves us.
And you say Russia intends to invade the Baltics and Europe? There is not the slightest evidence of that. The Russian Army is 10% of the size it was in the Fulda Gap days.
That is just pure neocon thinking and more “dominos” bullcrap.
This is a defensive war on their part. NATO charged up to their border 1000 miles to the east. We were far more angry about Russians bombing our ISIS rebels than anything else in Syria and we engaged in chest bumping in the air and on the ground, even killing a few hundred. Can anyone imagine the apoplexy here if Russians bombed a Blackwater site and killed 300? We were sailing warships three miles off of Sevastopol, claiming Kiev gave us permission. In the year before the war we tried failed color revolutions in Kazakhstan, and Belarus.
We threw a successful one in Kiev that brought the Banderists to power.
So dispense with the trite fable that this is dominos again, and that Russia wants to conquer Europe, and that we are some kind of white knights making the world safe for democracy.
This war is a raw globalist power grab and about money, corruption and nothing else.
This is a defensive war on their part...pure and simple.
Reagan supported Thatcher in the Faulklands...
If every border crossing invasion on earth is a US interest ... that means every single war on earth involves us.
No, some matter more than others. This is Europe, not some south pacific group of islands or $h1thole in Africa. We have historical and economic ties to Europe, and at one time more so than now, heritage and common enemies.
pure neocon thinking and more “dominos” bullcrap
No, its caution based on Russian (Putins) own behavior for decades.
The remainder of your post is leftist prop and talking points. The US occasionally sailing in the Black Sea is no more threatening than Russian ships in Cuba. And you are defending Russian mercs in Syria defending ISIS while ISIS was attacking US forces? You disappoint.
