There must be some truth in eating healthy.
I smoke and drink and I’m 74.
My doctor told me he hasn’t ever seen me before.
I told him he was mistaken, I saw him 17 years ago.
When I told him I eat anything I want, when I want and as much as I want.
He said “How are you still alive?”
But I read all the health news on FreeRepublic.
Two years ago I figured I’d try Turmeric thinking it was just a spice, how can it hurt?
It tastes terrible but I feel great. No more bad knees, no more feeling like I had arthritis.
About the same time I had gradually switched from a pasta based diet to a stew diet.
I take any kind of meat and throw in vegetables from my garden.
I was bitten by a brown recluse spider on my finger 7 weeks ago.
I was prescribed an antibiotic that my wife says is what she took for a bladder infection.
It didn’t do anything for my finger but I don’t have to run to the bathroom anymore.
So now I take a half spoonful of Turmeric and dip it in yogurt once a day.
I couldn’t do anything in the yard for 5 weeks due to the spider bite.
My finger looked like a barbecued chicken leg.
I’ve got an acre of property and I have to do weed abatement before fire season.
The weeds are waist high. But I wake up every morning with no back pain.
You’re lucky you didn’t lose that finger.
A co-worker where I used to work was bitten on the finger just as you were, while moving some trash in an unused hangar.
He lost his finger...............
Good info. I was taking about 1.5-2g of turmeric powder daily as well as 600mg of curcumin from turmeric. After a year I began to get nose bleeds and recalled an article that said turmeric is like a blood thinner and can cause nosebleeds. So I’ve cut back to 500mg and the nosebleeds have stopped.
