Had a discussion with my leftist son yesterday about this, and I had to agree with him.
My medical data is MINE!
Your medical data is YOURS!

The fed has no business in either one!

If this were voluntary, or had an ‘opt out’ clause, I’d have no problem.

4th Amendment:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects,[a] against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.[2]

do you and your leftist son REALLY believe that both of you have no medical footprint available to plow through by those who know how to dig through the billions of data files already available? only a gunshot criminal getting patched up by a veterinarian has no traceable data footprint and there’s STILL no guarantee of that. by the way...if you believe you can hide, I have a bridge for sale cheap. it’s a profitable investment for sure.

The parents of autistic kids did not seem to care when Covid data was released to anybody and everybody.

I did not hear them complaining about mandatory vaxxes either.

I don't see a problem with de-identified data. No names, no SS#'s, no addresses, no birth dates (but birth year so comparisons can be done on age groups).

And I'm comfortable with NIH overseeing the study while Trump/RFKJr is in charge. Perhaps there will be real science and not bastardized agenda driven "research".
