Winston Churchill wrote 50-80 books. His book The Gathering Storm is about many things in the decade before Germany’s first attack. I mention this because of the incredible details about Hitler’s rise to power, and how Germany rearmed in the 1930s.

While this new book with the same name is obviously important, I highly recommend Winston Churchill’s The Gathering Storm.

Speaking of Winston Churchill, he had some observations about Islam:

“A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property—either as a child, a wife, or a concubine—must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.”

“The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.”

So nope; no democracy nor acceptance of Western civilization to see here, folks. Move along.
