Missiles struck Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, early on Thursday morning, setting off air raid sirens and forcing residents into bomb shelters. Explosions were heard across the city just after the alert was issued.
“Kyiv is being attacked by enemy missiles,” the capital’s military command posted on Telegram, urging people to take shelter immediately. Local authorities confirmed that at least two districts in the city had sustained damage.

Meanwhile, in the east of the country, the city of Kharkiv was also hit. Mayor Igor Terekhov said that seven missiles had struck the city overnight.
Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, confirmed that Russia had launched coordinated strikes on multiple Ukrainian cities, using both missiles and drones. “Putin shows only a desire to kill,” Yermak wrote. “The attacks on civilians must stop.”

Approximate movement of the missiles launched in today’s large-scale combined missile attack on Ukraine.
A minimum of 16 Kalibrs, 15 Kh-101s, and 6 Iskander-Ms were used.
Missiles impacted targets in Pavlohrad (Dnipropetrovsk Oblast), Kharkiv City, Ozerne (Zhytomyr Oblast), Kyiv City, Shepetivka (Khmelnytskyi Oblast), Starokostyantyniv (Khmelnytskyi Oblast) and Skalat (Ternopil Oblast).
Among the targets were airfields, energy infrastructure and probably defence infrastructure.
6 Tu-95MS strategic bombers took part in launching Kh-101 cruise missiles.
3 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, likely including at least one submarine, took part in launching Kalibr cruise missiles.
Iskander-M ballistic missiles were launched from Bryansk, Kursk and Voronezh Oblasts.

No, the situation in Ukraine is not a game to me... I said, “This situation is reminding me more and more of the RISK games that the other neighborhood kids and I played many decades ago.” There is an unmistakable parallel between what is happening now and the end of those games. I am not completely sure why we even bothered to complete them. The end was typically obvious long before the game was completed... the same way that the end is now starkly obvious in Ukraine.
What is the purpose of wasting more lives and treasure in this idiotic situation?
ZZelenskyy wants it good and hard.
