Of all the hazards a golf course might face, a parking lot affair by the recycling bin wasn't exactly on the scorecard for Skylinks at Buchanan Fields in California.
For the business, a public 9-hole course in East Bay, the biggest drama of the season hasn’t come from a bunker or a blown putt.
It has come from two parked cars in the far corner of the lot, where an alleged weekly rendezvous has transformed a family-friendly fairway into the site of a full-blown soap opera.
A spicy Instagram post from the course lit up social media last week with this opening line:
"To the late 30’s married wife in the black car who’s having a secret affair and with the guy in the smaller silver car who’ve decided to using (sic) the back right corner of our Skylinks carpark to meet weekly... PLEASE STOP."
"We’re a family golf course — not some Jerry Springer family destruction zone," the post concluded, before warning: "If it happens again, we’ll drop the footage and watch all hell break loose."

A couple years ago I walked to my car parked at a hotel I was staying at. There was shattered glass all over the place. The car next to me had its windows shattered and a large rock sitting on the seat. My truck was untouched.
Pretty good guess it was a jilted with pulling a Carrie Underwood on her husband’s car.
LOL, that’s funny right there!
Instead of hitting the links they were getting their kinks working the back stretch in the back seat.
“we are now a ten hole course” would have been a great advertising campaign.
“He was night putting. Just, putting. At night...”
Did they get a hole-in-one?...............
NorCal inland, north of Walnut Creek, for anyone else wondering where this was, general area.
They got caught because he was 5 strokes over par.
“Kiwi has one piece of advice to the public: “Keep your hole-in-ones on the course, not in our car park.””
“Get a room!”
Must have been using a 3-wood................
Never up, never in.
Don't the 'lovers' know that there are cameras and eyes in the sky...everywhere.
I live in a small town, less than 12,000 and we have cameras all over the place, not to mention the private folk's drones flying and spying almost anywhere you go.
Then there are the camera door bell ringers and the private security many people have in their homes and some cars have multiple security cameras.
If you are gonna cheat, at least use your big head first.
11 or 12 depending.
I have my own NVR camera/doorbell system running because I like playing with the tech, and fundamentally I live in Mayberry. I finally got around to playing with the AppleTV app, and currently have the feed from 3 cameras and two doorbells up on the TV across the way. It’s pretty slick.
A number of years ago, I was walking through a hotel parking garage (3 star), saw movement in my peripheral, looked over and saw the soles of socked feet above the window rail of an SUV.
I guess they couldn’t wait... /s
You’d think by now people would be keen to window tint, ya know?
If she was a trooper, he may have gotten 3!!
