I guess ABC had this special in the "can" for a while now, to broadcast tonight.

John Paul II, died some 20 years, I don't remember a prime time special on his death.

He wasn't woke, and far from it. I know someone who wasn't even Catholic who felt compelled to grab a flight to Rome to attend his funeral. I don't hear anyone doing that for the last pope.

I remember Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, Three’s Company was Tuesday night.
Love Boat was Saturday, Dukes of Hazzard was Friday...
