More sob stories about bogus charities that keep African nations down and dependent.
JFTR, “redundancies” here mean either layoffs or firings. Trócaire is the Irish Gaelic word for “mercy”.

Don’t care. If Ireland wants to continue that crap, they need to embrace MIGA policies and do it on their own. USAID and all similar agencies and graft and corruption pipelines need to all be killed regardless of the results. If they need to be rebuilt in some way for a very good reason, start it from the ground up with much tighter oversight and much less resources and Human Resources. Ideally, any charity could be run by one single person that reviews requests and approves or denies them, thereby improving oversight.

Musk said that Soros hacked the State Department using NGO's to fund his political interests around the world and to reward politicians and bureaucrats who were doing his bidding. Musk explained that this was a scheme in which Soros would invest, say, $10 million in NGOs and then get them funded with billion$, probably even recouping his original money.
Elon implied that criminal charges will be forthcoming.

American taxpayers paying for Irish NGO’s. Sickening. Well the fat cats skimming the money best learn how to code. Oops, I forgot AI is killing the programming jobs. Maybe they can learn to be tip stealing waitresses. AOC is available for classes.

GOOD!
Why on earth should American tax payers pay for Irish NGO’s?
Let the Irish tax payers pay for their own NGO’s.

“GOAL’s Turkey-Syria program was most impacted”
Good chance that this was one of the NGO’s that brought countless violent muzzies to Ireland and ruined that place too.

Released under Freedom of Information, emails and briefing notes show how the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) kept in contact with Ireland’s aid agencies as tens of millions of euro in funding appeared to essentially disappear.
That's an interesting sentence. So Ireland's "state department" had the same problems with their NGOs as the US State Department with USAID: foreign aid money disappeared into a black hole and could not be accounted for.

Why the hell are we paying IRISH NGO’s anything?!
If they are so vital let the Irish pay them.
DOGE has been a real eye opener!
Those in the streets opposing it are numb and dumb.

I can see America being forced by the UN to buy food and all the wonderful necessities of life for the Africans freeloaders because they won’t do anything for themselves but why are we supporting the Irish? That doesn’t make sense.

Good! Irish NGOs whining their USAID gravy train is cut off. How much trickled out to the Africans? 1%? 2%?
And all it did was continue the cycle of dependence.

It seems like ALL funding for ALL “NGOs” should immediately stop. Any further funding for such operations should be preceded by a 90-day waiting period, publication of the purpose and charter of the group getting the funding, a list of pay amounts to all staff, and approval by the President and public votes of both houses of congress.
