U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio presented to "to all parties the outlines of a durable and lasting peace" regarding the war in Ukraine, a U.S. spokesperson said on Thursday, after Rubio spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
U.S. State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a statement that Rubio had communicated the same message the U.S. team had to the Ukrainian delegation and European allies in Paris, where she said it met an "encouraging reception."

The Secretary conveyed to his Russian counterpart the same message the U.S. team communicated to the Ukrainian delegation and our European allies in Paris: President Trump and the United States want this war to end, and have now presented to all parties the outlines of a durable and lasting peace. The encouraging reception in Paris to the U.S. framework shows that peace is possible if all parties commit to reaching an agreement.

It would help things if one nation wasn’t playing bully.
Can the process become absurd enough if both Russia and Ukraine persist in insisting on too much? Absurd enough for the US to walk away? Or can the US NOT ever walk away and let them finish it themselves? Are there aspects to this not being publicized or at least being downplayed despite their absolute deal breaking importance?
Marco has surprised and impressed me so far.

Marco Rubio has been great and he is the one I was most suspicious of, at first. I really like the way he talks and his actions, so far...
