Yes, it’s supposed to open from the inside, and the outside as well.
Apparently Katy was supposed to wait and let Bezos be the big star and open it from the outside, but she got ahead of the game, realized her miscue and slammed it closed again so Bezos could do his thing........................
Nothing but a thrill ride in the world’s tallest roller coaster.
ahhhh... I get it now!... thanks for spelling it out.

I guess the gals forgot that during their 2 hour training to be world class astronauts that they need to wait for the door to be opened from the outside to make it look legit.
Just another troubling display that the patriarchy still requires a man to open a door for a cis-lady.
They had one of those motel chain locks on the door that the person inside didn’t know how to unlock.
let me ask this... “3 minutes of weightlessness”... were they actually in space for the weightless time or was it the freefall from that altitude that gave them the weightless environment/or combination of both?
A little bit of both..............
tt!!
iow...this ‘crew of astronauts’ (lol) couldn’t get the door part right!
Good job they didn’t have to do anything of significance during the trip.
I kept quiet.
This proves it.
Women can do anything a dog can do.
As I recall, F = G*m1*m2/(r^2)..then F = m2*a.
m1 = mass of the earth
m2 = mass of the spacecraft
r = distance from the center of the earth to the spacecraft
a = acceleration of the spacecraft.
I would think the two things have a chance of equaling on the way up but not on the way down. Maybe I’m missing something.
Ummmmm well gee thanks... lol... If I knew what you just posted, well I dont think I would have needed to ask!!
knock knock
Katy: *opens door* "Who is it?"
Rest of space chicks: "Who's out there?"
Katy: "It's that creepy bald guy, Bozos I think."
Rest of space chicks: "Slam de door! Don't let him in!"
?
A door opening inwards on a spacecraft is essentially a fail safe. It probably can not be opened in vacuum and won’t be a point of blow-out failure.
Is there a video of the inside of the capsule at takeoff? I looked but could only find exterior shots of the rocket with what I took to be very very low audio of the “astronauts” as a commentator talked over it.
Anyone have a link to the actual video of the “soft landing”?
We dropped Jeeps with chutes from the back of a C-130, and as I remember, those landings were not, in any way, soft.
I can’t imagine this bunch of pampered idiots being dropped on dry land, I don’t believe it really happened.
