Watch this legend end a delay of game caused by bees in the most American way possible 🇺🇸

So there was a delay in the Rice v. South Florida baseball game yesterday due to this beehive in the visitor dugout.

But never fear, this random hillbilly came in to save the day, and he did it with his bare hands.

No protective gear, no gloves, no nothing - and not even a flinch from that man!

Grabbed the hive, tossed it in a container, and he's gone.

Bro's just adding to that 2025 honey harvest! I've seen some "barehand" baseball highlights in my day, but this is a first for me, and it moves immediately to the top of the list.

One of the most "Murica" videos out there right now!

Swarms are tame. No honey or brood to protect. They WANT a new home. Generally, you can slowly put your hand inside the center and not be stung

I would call that a swarm, not a beehive.

Right, they were reforming allegiance to a queen and thus docile.

“I would call that a swarm, not a beehive.”

A swarm in a temporary cluster.

LOL, who gets the honey?

My neighbor found a large bee hive in his tool shed - immediately called the city, they wouldn’t remove it and suggested he call in a professional - he found one that wanted $800 to take it out. Neighbor has kids and was afraid they’d get stung. Finally had it removed - lots of bees around right now so I suspect they’ll build another hive somewhere close.

I hear the bee population has been decimated - but around here that doesn’t seem to be the case, they are buzzing everywhere now that everything is in bloom. I need them for my fruit trees!

A swarm of bees came into my son’s shop last week. Two of his mechanics freaked out, but one was calm about it. They called a bee guy and, by the time he got there, the bees had decided that wasn’t a good home and they had all left.

That’w amazing you can put your hand into the center of the swarm.

Yup. Done it myself a few times while growing up.

Depends why they are swarming. If someone agitated their nest already, then it’s a defensive swarm and they will sting.

I don’t mind honey bees much at all. I’ll even let one land one me though they rarely would. Same with carpenter bees. I dislike wasps, yellow jackets and hornets. I wish it was their populations that were being decimated, not the honeybees.

“I need them for my fruit trees!” People here won’t pull Dandelions because the bees get sustenance from them until the peach, cherry, apple etc. trees bloom. I’m surrounded by hundreds of acres of fruit trees. Spring is a magic time here. Plus local (free range by law) farmers’ eggs for $5 a dozen.
