One of my favorite songs from the musical, very inspirational, and tells the message on this Palm Sunday.
Alan Henry Spenner’s bass tracks MADE this album.
I can’t wait for the new version with Dylan Mulvaney as Jesus!
I don't believe even the most radical hollyweird producer would do that.
Look at the financial disaster the 2025 woke version of Snow White was.
These dancers deserved medals. A brilliant scene rom the film.

One of the problems with a worldly group doing anything like creating a musical such as Jesus Christ Superstar is that they really don’t have a true comprehension of what they are doing. Are they Christians and do they recognize Jesus Christ as their savior? What would Jesus think of a title where he is referred to as a ‘superstar’? In the case of “Hosanna”, do they know what that word really means? Do they understand why a crowd was shouting this when he entered the city... and why a week later the crowd was shouting ‘Crucify him?’
You are right!
Back in the day, “Superstar” was really popular to enact in Lutheran parishes that later joined the very liberal “Evangelical Lutheran Church in America” (ELCA).
We all know haw that turned out! Lord have Mercy!
Blessed Palm Sunday and Holy Week to all! Pray for the conversion of all liberal church members, and for the forgiveness of our own sins!
O believers, as we come together,
let us proceed from holy Feast to holy Feast,
from palms and branches,
to the saving solemn ceremony of the Passion of Christ;
and we shall observe how He undergoes His voluntary Passion for our sake,
and gives His life as ransom for the whole world.
Let us thank Him and sing the appointed hymns,
extolling Him and saying,
“O fountain of compassion and harbor of salvation,
glory to You,O Lord!”
It’s blasphemous nonsense.
Our son played Pilot in his HS musical. He was offered to part of Judas but thought it was too much work.
