Festerman could end up in one of them 20-minute-long Big Pharma ads. And if you act now, buy thirty and score a free hoodie.

I remember how mentally gone this dude was and him checking out for months citing severe “depression”. Whatever drug he did to resurrect his brain it damm sure wasnt some anti-obesity drug. Was something more like Ketamine which I know works for depression. You gotta remember Fetterman was not the same guy mentally that he is today. Not by a long shot.

My wife is on Mounjaro. She went from watching Good Morning America to Fox & Friends and is a now a rabid Trump supporter. The only negative side effect is that she reads the WSJ. Altogether the drug is working.

Fetterman was a diabetic claiming weight loss as a “side effect” ?? And only 20 lbs ?? There may be a subset of patients with depression related to/mediated by metabolic dysfunction for whom these meds addresses the metabolic dysfunction but the interplay between medication and mental health is way too complex for politicians to start recommending it broadly. There needs to be a comparison to non rapid weight loss patients without drugs or surgery for one.

I don’t care how much weight he’s lost at heart he’s still just a liberal snake who should be shunned and you should never turn your back to him.

“Aches, pains and stiffness have vanished. Physically, I feel a decade younger, as well as clearer-headed and more optimistic than I’d been in years. As far as side effects, I’ve also lost around 20 pounds.”

He is confusing cause and effect. Everybody feels a lot more active, energetic, healthy and younger after shedding 20 pounds of fat.

My first question is how much sock does he and the other congress critters hold in the pharma company that produces it?

I get everything he’s saying. Happened to me. I’m a diabetic but I refuse to take insulin. All my blood tests showed horrendous numbers for everything. I’ve gone on 6 mo experiments of various diet restrictions and showed moderate improvements on some. Finally gave in to my internist’s pushing a diabetes pill - Rybelsus. Came back in a month a bit panicked that I was losing weight. And got laughed at.

The movement into good numbers in my blood tests was almost miraculous. After almost a year, they’re fabulous and the doctor is thrilled. Aches and pains of decades have stopped and I’ve lost 40 lbs and am now plateaued. No side effects WHATSOEVER. My mental health is good, but then I’ve always been an optimist. Haven’t accomplished anything creatively in the last year, which I’m hesitant to attribute to anything but laziness. No writing, no video production. Just massive files of catalogued and rated Chinese videos. And huge amounts of learning to cook Chinese and Indian food. My spice shelves overflow with things I never heard of a year ago. Had no idea I could feel this good at age 80. Simply stunned by the change in health. And grateful I listened to my doctor.
