Thank you for looking at it. I am curious if there are more who notice this same thing. Have to keep an eye on this to see if it is a common pattern. Strange that it is hidden from the processes if it is legit. :)

Speculation: It's possible that an errant bit of new/modified system software is forgetting to free up system heap memory after use. "Use after free" is a flaw that creates a vulnerability; but "No free after use" is a flaw that consumes increasing amounts of memory without explanation, might be quickly or slowly, but eventually creating performances issues.

Such things have happened before, with MS and many others, and they generally mean that an update is coming shortly.
