Supposedly, if the receiving antenna on earth is large enough, the microwave power density can be quite low -- not much more than the electronic energy that we are routinely surrounded by these days.

Your comment though gets at a larger point about frying certain types of "birds" below. With enough electric power, large, active, electronically scanned radar arrays in orbit can surveil and attack aircraft and missiles. That would inevitably have to be part of Trump's projected "golden dome" to defend the US homeland.

Ethics problem.

When using current “teleport” tech., an object may be replicated to the destination: point B.

What then, happens to the object at point A?

IOW, current “teleport” tech might be able to create a duplication, using electronic wizardry, but not actual beam an object FROM point A TO point B.

So, who is going to tell “Maxine” at point A in Los Angeles, that her duplicate just arrived at point B in Washington, DC . . . that, “Maxine, dear, we now must VAPORIZE YOU!”
