This image was purportedly captured by a thermal imaging system aboard the USS Jackson. Is it dumb if this is a Chinese stealth drone hovering over and spying on a U.S. Naval vessel’s weapons platform?
No... it’s aliens from the planet Zircon! It’s not an anomaly, nor is there any way it’s some spoofing system being tested by Skunkworks against ships and planes.
The DOD is always very careful to notify all ships, pilots and sailors when they are going to test a harmless classified system against them to get a real world test.
No, it’s a flying tic-tac.
