To put it delicately, Washington needs a good flushing out.
IMO the fitting celebration for this is local block parties and community events.
But if the Trump admin could give our ill-educated younger generations a better appreciation for their constitutional heritage and its value, that’d be great.
I still refer to it in conversation as “The District of Corruption.”

Washington has plenty of points of interest. It also has gathered too much money from the citizens of the country.
I would propose the monument be somewhere in flyover country. Somewhere without significant tourist interest. Iowa, Kansas, North Dakota are good candidates.
Are we sure we want to offend and trigger the foreign invaders flooding our country illegally by placing OUR HISTORY where they have to see it? Come on America! We’re the suckers to the world! We need to be nice and kiss their butts. We should be honored that they picked America as the place to come if you want to live off the backs of the taxpayers.

Sounds like a great idea to me.
If we start now, maybe it will be ready for the tricentennial.
Architecturally Washington D.C. needs to get away from its growing grandiosity and needs to even reduce some of what exists there as far as grandiose monuments to make political statements and create politically driven history impressions.
Why dont we go all out and copy Napoleon’s Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Eysees ???

We are $37 Trillion Dollars in debt. Maybe we can build an arch after we pay off the national debt.
