My sister did taxes for twenty years for H&R Block. She always asked the illegals why they were filing and every time the answer came back, because periodically, the government gives amnesty but only if you’ve been in the country for the required time. This proves I was here.

And, yes, anyone can request a social security number. You don’t have to be a citizen. It’s a tax account number.

Their paperwork was usually spotty or nonexistent. Therefore, whatever they paid was a voluntary contribution. Having filed taxes there are all sorts of things they can get if they meet the criteria. Those things are direct payments, again, depending on circumstances.

“Millions of undocumented workers pay taxes” It doesn’t matter if they are here illegally. Bank robbers don’t get to keep their loot, this is the same premise, and I highly doubt that many pay taxes.

I.R.S. Agrees to Share Migrants’ Tax Information with ICE

My only question would be why would they not?

If General Sherman could use Census data to raid plantations in war...

It's the same thing.

This should be interesting. Leftists claim that “migrants” are good for the country because they pay their taxes (so do serial killers, for that matter). Maybe we’ll find out how true this memorized trope is.
