SAN ANTONIO — San Antonio police say 23-year-old Natalieann Aguirre has been arrested in a suspected road rage shooting on March 24.

Authorities say during the incident, Aguirre shot at the victim on the highway while his 2-year-old granddaughter was in the back seat.

The victim, in his 60's, didn't want to go on camera, but admitted to having some regrets for his actions that led up to the shooting.

The victim says he was merging onto Highway 281 northbound from San Pedro Avenue when Aguirre was driving behind him.

"[The other vehicle] went around me and cut back in in front of me, bumper to bumper with the car in front, and less than a foot from my driver front fender. It made me mad, and for my personality, I totally lost it," the victim said.

The victim then says he honked, flipped off Aguirre, then drove up next to her.

"Rolled my window down and yelled, and slapped at her car, and drove away," the victim said.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim slapped Aguirre's passenger side rear view mirror with his hand.

"The next thing I knew, she was on the shoulder on my right, with her window rolled down, waving a gun at me. It was a good sized [gun]. It left a hole like a .45 in my door, and made a pretty big pop that scared my toddler granddaughter that I was taking home."

The man says Aguirre tried to drive away, but eventually the man was able to get a photo of Aguirre and her license plate.

"I really felt stupid, because I had broken out of my own personality in general, and didn't turn the other cheek and move on," he said. "That situation potentially could have gotten my granddaughter killed or me, and it's pretty scary."

Police were able to find Aguirre, and during an interview, she admitted to the same details as the victim provided, but when questioned about the gun, she asked for an attorney.

The victim says he is thankful police arrested Aguirre, and hopes she's held accountable for putting his and his granddaughter's life in danger.

Police say Aguirre is facing a charge of deadly conduct, discharge firearm.

Happened to me here in SA as well a few years ago. Outside Randolph AFB, a guy did something stupid and dangerous and I flipped him off. He then spent the next 15 miles trying to run me off the road. This was back when military members still had base stickers on our cars. I get off on Blanco Road at 410, he pulls in front of me and blocks my truck, gets out of his car (he’s a Staff Sergeant in uniform), sees the officer sticker on my windshield, jumps back in his car and drives off.

That is mad!   As a former Staff Sergeant, I can only shake my head with disdain.

In basic training we were told that we were never to bring undue notoriety to the Air Force.

I was bemoaning my arthritis and how I have gone totally electric for power tools. Ended up selling her a $400 electric chainsaw. $$$

I don't understand. I'm an old grandma who likes to work on my house and property. My electric tools all have long power cords and must be plugged into a wall outlet. My battery-operated tools, including the 14-foot' extension chain saw, are much easier to handle.

Yeah, better just to avoid. Just not worth it.

Don’t worry.I usually don’t read the articles either :)

Life is too short to do more than skim articles these days, particularly since the journalistic standards have fallen so far.
