'In Erwin Schrödinger’s thought experiment, it is a cat that is alive and dead at the same time.

I still haven't wrapped my head around the notion that something can be both a particle and a wave.

It's Friday, and I need to go to sleep.

In physics it is said some particles exhibits characteristics of both wave and a particle, but no proof has been shown they are both. It could easily just be our measurements are not proper to the situation or that what we call a wave or a particle is not a correct conclusion. Physics is very liquid in that sense; everything is subject to change.
