The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do what’s right
Sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti

Actually "a typical African diet" is probably one of THE silliest things EVER written! Africa is a large continent and not everyone who lives there eats the same thing/s, nor even what the article talks about!

A "TYPICAL "RSA Afrikaner diet" is NOTHING at all even remotely like what's in the article and neither are "TRADITIONAL DIETS" throughout that continent!

Yes, a LOT of Americans ( the populace of other nations do to!) eat far too much fast food; however, not everyone even eats it sometimes, or ever!

Interesting.

My cousin was a missionary journeyman serving in Sudan quite a few years back; as an honored guest she was proudly served termites. She really had no choice but to eat them, lol.

My diet is crap; I should probably look into this way of eating. Thanks for posting!

traditional fermented banana drink (Mbege) also showed anti-inflammatory effects, highlighting the potential health benefits of fermented foods often overlooked in modern diets.

I think "mbege" is pronounced "daiquiri".

I'm still waiting for the "Eat ze bugs!" punch line.

Went to an African restaurant while in Santa Fe years ago. Some of the worst food I’d had in a long time. They can keep it.

There is no traditional american diet.

You eat quality food in reasonable amounts, you get less health problems and the food works for you, not against you.

That includes good natural fats from meat, eggs and the best quality dairy you can get.

I'll pass on the African diet.

Sometimes, "quality of life" can amount to a lot more than "quantity of life".

Bingo. Define the diet. Africa includes Arabs in northern Africa which have nothing in common with the rest of the continent. Nonsense.
