Given the demographics of the involved parties, I don’t expect this story to make the national news. Of course if those details were reversed, probably, and if a gun had been used, certainly.

This is especially shocking as Frisco is a very safe and very affluent city. It would be a tragedy anywhere and utterly senseless, but it seems even more so when it happens in a place like Frisco. I am sure both kids had scholarship offers and were going to college. So stupid. Who brings a knife to a Regional Championship Track meet when they are competing?
