Pennsylvania woman who wrongfully accused stranger of rape and kidnapping sentenced to jail

The Pennsylvania woman who admitted to fabricating kidnapping and rape allegations against a stranger she “specifically targeted” because she thought he was “creepy” last year is paying for her lies.

Anjela Borisova Urumova, 20, was sentenced to 45 days to 23 months in Bucks County Correctional Facility on Tuesday by Judge Stephen A. Corr, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office.

She was also sentenced to one year of probation, ordered to have no contact with the victim, pay him $3,600 in restitution, and is required to undergo a mental health evaluation.

She should get the same sentence the guy would have if convicted.

She got off way too light.

Yes. The sentence for being convicted of falsely accusing someone of rape should be the same as the sentence for being convicted of raping someone.

By the light sentence given to the convicted woman, Judge Stephen A. Corr has demonstrated another two-tiered system of justice.

Usually this goes the other way. The guy ends up in jail for much longer until a DNA sample or some other evidence surfaces or he just does the time. Men are up against a brick wall trying to defend themselves against a rape or assault allegation. Granted there are some brutal men out there who deserve to be in prison for a long stretch, but when a man is wrongfully accused his life becomes hell.

“... was sentenced to 45 days to 23 months”

Which was it? 45 days or 23 months? She should have received the sentence he would gotten if he had actually committed that crime.

I read the story and looked at the pictures.

She is cute and he is .... well, not.

I can see that if she hadn’t confessed, he would have gone away for years.

I see a civil lawsuit in her future. Defamation, libel, and slander should be easy sonce she’s been convicted of lying about him.

Even though she most likely doesn’t have a pot to piss in, a nice huge judgement against her, will ruin her credit and limit her social life.

Deuteronomy 19: 15-21

15 One witness is not enough to convict anyone accused of any crime or offense they may have committed. A matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.
16 If a malicious witness takes the stand to accuse someone of a crime,
17 the two people involved in the dispute must stand in the presence of the LORD before the priests and the judges who are in office at the time.
18 The judges must make a thorough investigation, and if the witness proves to be a liar, giving false testimony against a fellow Israelite,
19 then do to the false witness as that witness intended to do to the other party. You must purge the evil from among you.
20 The rest of the people will hear of this and be afraid, and never again will such an evil thing be done among you.
21 Show no pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.

Daniel Pierson, 41, spent 31 days behind bars on fabricated rape charges, Pennsylvania prosecutors said last week.

Pierson spent 31 days in prison, she may spend as little as 45 days behind bars.

He very likely lost more than $3,600 in wages while in prison. He may have lost his job.

And of course where does he go to get his good name back?

She is very young so she probably has nothing of substance with which to pay the man but this is not justice.

This same thing happened to Trump. That woman E Jean Carroll accused him of rape 30 years ago in a department store. She had zero evidence, zero DNA, zero videotapes, zero witnesses, but because NYC is filled with Trump hating lowlifes he was found liable for $8 million just on her sole accusation. And when Trump called her a liar she sued him for defamation, sued HIM if you can believe it, and they awarded her $88 million.

The sentence is too mild. It should be the same as the falsely accused man would have gotten, plus being on a registry of false accusers.

Take her to civil court and try to get a settlement for slander and lost income, then have all her wages garnished until full restitution or the rest of her life, whichever comes first.
