An insurgent politician, spoiling to cause an upset and topple the establishment, removed from the ballot paper following corruption charges. No, I’m not talking about Erdogan’s Turkey, or some other faraway autocracy, but nominally democratic France, where a court has just upended the next presidential election.
Marine Le Pen – leader of the right-wing National Rally (RN), preparing for a fourth tilt at the French presidency in 2027 – has been banned from standing for election for five years. She’s been found guilty for her role in siphoning off millions of euros in European Parliament funds and using it to fund RN’s domestic political activities. She’s also been fined €100,000 and sentenced to four years in prison – though she would only serve half of that, under house arrest.
It might not come to that – Le Pen will immediately appeal her sentence, a process that could take years. But the five-year ban on her running for president, or any other form of elected office, will take effect immediately, making another bid for the Élysée in two years’ time incredibly unlikely, if not totally impossible.
On the embezzlement charges themselves, Le Pen may well be bang to rights – even if a little creative accounting has long been par for the course among the Brussels set. The judge said National Rally staff had signed ‘fictional contracts’, establishing that ‘all these people were in reality working for the party and not for the MEP to which they were theoretically attached’. Le Pen refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing throughout, leading to a harsher sentence.
Still, that the judge granted prosecutors’ request for a fittingly titled ‘provisional execution ban’, decapitating her presidential campaign before it even began, has rightly shocked Le Pen’s supporters and even a few of her opponents. She stormed out before her full sentence could be read out. After her trial in November, Gérald Darmanin, the justice minister in Emmanuel Macron’s government and aspiring presidential candidate, insisted ‘Madame Le Pen must be fought at the ballot box, not elsewhere’. The giddy reception the ruling has received from sections of the French left, meanwhile, has been depressing – if depressingly predictable...SNIP

Boy is that the truth. And by routinely removing right wing or populist candidates before they can even be voted on, the left basically admits: we fear they'd win. So in other words, they KNOW that this is the candidate the people want. They do not CARE what the people want. And... it just could not be clearer.
We should cut off relations with the EU and withdraw from NATO. We can maintain alliances with individual countries that support republican governments, but we should not make league with fascists.

Now I know why Obama was so upset when he failed to get a new "Assault Weapons" ban passed after Sandy Hook, he knew this was a "opportunity" like that would never come for the left in his lifetime.

Yes, but the one bright spot is that the American people said “We see through this sham”. We rejected the sham charges. We rejected the verdict of a jury who knew full and well that an incorrect outcome would mean the end of their careers, their lives in Manhattan, and make it untenable to even remain there. And then we voted in the only guy who stood a chance of reversing the slide into a 3rd world hellhole existence.
I hope the French people can take some inspiration from this.
National Rally can pick another person and Le Pen can vice her support of that candidate.

Trump defeated the Globalist Elite in the US, but in the EU the EU can trump individual countries. The facism of the globalist elites has put democracy on the backburner.
Just like when Obama won in 2016, the thin veneer of the DNC voters being decent people was torn off to expose their nastiness towards everyday citizens.
The globalists have been defeated at the ballot box thus they have taken to the courts to steal the next round of elections.
This action by the EU and Macron today has sealed the fate of the EU and it will be over in 5-7 years. Between their warmongering and the impending recession, those stealing elections today will be without an organization to push their Marxist crap.

The reason it is important for the USA to control Greenland is this: Greenland is geographically strategic, and Europe is too decadent to be reliable.
There is a simmering discontent brewing in France. The “Gilets Jaunes”, ( yellow vest) movement started by French truckers protesting increasing fuel prices has continued for nearly five years. And well Macron was forced to delay environmental fuel taxes truckers remain discontent. The increasing number of illegal immigrants and the increase in militant Islamists is also a concern for many French and Le Pen’s National Rally party has gained increased support by calling for strict immigration limits and French national sovereignty. Preventing Le Pen from running for political office could only further fuel this national discontent. Remember during the French Revolution a largely unarmed mobs stormed the Bastille and not only killed its defenders, but tore down the hated prison with their bare hands.
