They need to include the fake audio of gear grinding.
I recall smart remarks of years ago:
“Grind me a pound too”.
“Don’t worry, next year they will make them out of rubber”.
And back to real cars. So only 18% know how to drive a stick shift? I bet even fewer know how to double clutch a non-synchronized transmission. Even fewer yet do not know once the vehicle is in motion you don’t even need to use the clutch to shift gears.
Ford needs to bring back the bench seat, so when I pick up a cute hitchhiker, she can sit right next to me.
They can, but they won’t.

So - they’re replacing paddles with joysticks...Toyota has a position where you can use the stick to shift up and down - probably smarter than what Ford wants to do.
I loved my ‘86 T-Bird coupe. With Goodrich Comp T/A all weather radials...it went like a tank in the snow.
Thus we learn why legacy American auto companies failed to produce salable EV’s. Like the zealot climate change politicians mandating EV’s, the Big Three proceeded to electrify existing cars. They learned that was the wrong path to success.

If possible, I’d pay more for a vehicle that had; roll up windows, no auto stop at lights, no push button start...
I learned how to operate a manual trans on a 1931 Ford Model A. Three forward gear crashbox. Fun to drive.
Naa an automatic and a cup of coffee for city and freeway driving.
A lady friend, who we successfully shared driving my standard transmission for two days on the road was gifted an auto transmission car.
Five years later, she’s a distinct hazard on our roadways.
