Discriminating against white people seems like it would be a poor business decision.

Michael Jordan said, even republicans buy shoes. That said republicans are man enough to actually stop buying so they remain chattel.

Advertising panders to those who have the $$$ to spend....i.e., those EBT’s, from whiteys earnings, are what they’re targeting, with app’s running on their Obamaphones. They’re on their way to the fist-fights, at the fast food joints, because they didn’t get their order the way they wanted....

I have heard it said that white people are generally pretty color-blind when it comes to advertising. They look at the product and consider whether the product might be a good thing to buy. That's pretty much all that white people see. Now, the trend discussed in this article is very real, and white people ARE beginning to notice and ARE offended by how blatant it is. So, that is a shift. But, in the past, white people didn't much care about this stuff.

It is, apparently, different with blacks. They buy products advertised by blacks, not whites. Too many white people in a commercial just means it's a white man's product and is not suitable for blacks. They notice this stuff and they act on it. Which is why companies make a point of including blacks everywhere. If they don't they are likely to lose black customers. Whereas, having blacks in commercial does not (generally) offend white people, because white people (generally) don't even notice the colors. But this is changing now because the commercials have become so over-the-top and offensive.

That was my first thought as well when this all began to happen.

Back when I used to watch television, I used to see commercials I thought were effective, funny or witty. But then there was a switch when they began focusing commercials disproportionally towards females and minorities.

And it reached the point that now, I cannot even sit in front of a television watching network programming, with those commercials sprinkled in.

Now, white males are portrayed as total clueless idiots and buffoons, and there has to be multiple black people, hispanics, asians, you name it. It is if they are checking off boxes.

Then, when I began to understand the corrosive nature of the DEI crap, and how deeply it became embedded in business, I realized the composition of people in commercials WAS indeed a result of a checkbox. To get a high DEI score from a company like BlackRock, you had to show you were engaging DEI in hiring, advertising, and any other number of aspects of corporate activities.

Companies like BlackRock that advise investors for various funds, and many other institutions like it, disproportionally used their calculated DEI Score for investment advice.

DEI is a disaster not only for competency in flying planes, performing surgery, or any other types of tasks, but is completely the antithesis of what investors should be looking at when investing.

When looked at in that light, it explains what you see in advertising today, and explains much else as well.

Disagree. In today’s indoctrinated America, it’s a winning plan. It seems to me lots of whites have been taught to hate their race, and their country. I suppose they feel better seeing blacks in a position of superiority.

If it didn’t work, eventually advertisers would stop it. Looks to me like it’s more prevalent than ever.

There’s always discrimination in ads. I haven’t ever much seen anything I couldn’t live without so they’ve wasted money on me. At least they weren’t pushing LGBT@)%^&^_$ in the Christmas ads this year or maybe I wasn’t watching regular tv.
