It's a Godforsaken land...
"The infamous Blasphemy law was repealed, Sharia law was shelved, and Islam was removed as the country’s official religion.Minority Christians -- circa 5 percent of the population -- are inbetween. Muzzie versus muzzie, at this point."This joy was short lived as in October 2021 Sudanese politics reverted to type, and a military dictator, al Burhan, took over. What's odd about this RSF -- in part -- is their GoDaddy website, which was begun in 2023, and is privacy protected by a company in Arizona. Some of the graphics on that site show men in suits, and Western style military garb. Sort of "French foreign legion" looking. Marketing, for some strange reason. But through a US firm?
It sure seems that quote from Christian Relief is apt: " The conflict is not over religion, but over the division of wealth – both crave access to the gold reserves of the country."
Given that "gold reserves" at at play, it sure seems likely interested "international partners" have their hands in things....
