Violent crime runs in the family of the 14-year-old Newark boy charged with gunning down Detective Joseph Azcona in a flurry of bullets earlier this month, sources and the boy’s own relatives told The Post this week.
The unidentified teen’s mom, Rabiyah Sorey, 43, has been a known drug dealer on her block of North Ninth Street for years, the source said. Her twin sister, Hadiyah Sorey, 43, is her “partner in crime” and runs the family business with her, the source added.
“That’s a really, really bad family,” the source said. “They’ve all been arrested for weapons charges.”

They have that hooded eye, high cheekbone, looking down the nose arrogant face of Somalia - but they appear to be American.
That face and expression just about always has a criminal history.
The Sorey sisters may find their business dealings hampered - depending on local corruption vs loyalty to the blue.
Back in the days before police departments were established and lawyers figured how to make crime pay them, the neighbors and citizens had ways of taking care of problems such as these.
