That was a pretty idiotic statement. Not sure you could be more elitist with that statement.

@SocialSecurity
is not closing any field sites in Georgia or elsewhere.
The confusion likely arises from the closure of 5 permanent remote hearing sites (PRSs)—single rooms within field sites used for hearings. Since most hearings are now virtual, these PRSs are unnecessary. Field sites remain open, and Social Security has no plans to close any public-facing sites nationwide.
Well, the one in the thriving metropolis of Poteau, Oklahoma remains open.
Ghosts, long-registered Democrats, and assorted Rip Van Winkles hardest hit.
Supposed (not sure, could be AI troll) on things like Nextdoor are already complaining that Musk, et al, are cutting off their SS checks. And, of course the commie trash in the area pile on this as evidence of oppression.
my brief experience long ago with Nextdoor is that it’s a cesspit of hateful leftist nutjobs ... they’ve pretty much driven out everyone else ... i got tricked into signing up and spent years trying to get their poisonous emails stopped ...
if there’s any truth at all to any of them having their payments stopped, undoubtedly they were fraudulent payments to start with and guaranteed no one who was defrauding the FedGov wants their real name used in any publication, which is why one never sees actual names used in any of the woe-is-me articles articles being spewed out by the likes of NBC, etc. ...
Social Security Offices Expected To Close In 2025
Not a problem all other offices can deal with it it’s not like they are over worked or back logged on anything.
Another OMG panic anti Trump movie.
Call the business day afternoon before a major holiday, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, etc.
To achieve maximum efficiency, we should close almost all Social Security offices—keep just one per state.
That’s all the real economic contributors of this country actually need. We’re running offices all over the place, and who’s paying for it? Hardworking Americans.
It’s a total disaster. We need to streamline, cut the nonsense, and make government work for the people who actually keep this country going.
I had friend here in Appalachia who was in late eighties and native of mtns. She did not trust banks. On occasions, I would take her to a bank who knew her and she cashed her check. She counted the money before I drove away from the window.
