In the UK, everybody is named Mohammad.

In Washington DC, everybody is named RICO.

“Judges hobnobbing with other judges, the DOJ and lawyers, just doesn’t seem very ethical to me.”

All the “experts” will tell you there is nothing to see here.

They are like fish who do not understand the water they are swimming in....

These kinds of networks create situations like Roberts complaining about the impeachment process—when it involves one of his friends.

Even if there is no Lucifer worship in the basement the networking opportunities can go south in a hurry.

Gateway Pundit posted this same BS earlier this week. This is a group operates at law schools, and publicly seeks members. A media outlet calling it a "secret society" is either abysmally ignorant, or maliciously hoping to con its readers.

But hey, here is another "secret society" that both I, and any number of older Democrat Judges, have in common.

We’re missing the main point on this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inns_of_Court

“Associations for barristers in England and Wales. There are four Inns of Court: Gray’s Inn, Lincoln’s Inn, Inner Temple and Middle Temple.[1]

All barristers must belong to one of them.[2][3] They have supervisory and disciplinary functions over their members. The Inns also provide libraries, dining facilities and professional accommodation. Each also has a church or chapel attached to it and is a self-contained precinct where barristers traditionally train and practise. However, growth in the legal profession, together with a desire to practise from more modern accommodations and buildings with lower rents, caused many barristers’ chambers to move outside the precincts of the Inns of Court in the late 20th century.”

Brit through and through. The obvious tip off is the given name of “American”.

These judges and lawyers could do all the things listed in the article without having to be members of a secret society. It’s called the American Bar Association. They could meet as members of that organization. So why would you create a secret society that isn’t open to all lawyers and judges, and keep it secret, unless you have something to hide....which of course they do.

Modern appellate court judges see no conflict in socializing with inferior court judges, despite having an obligation to reign in their obvious errors and to discipline them as required by law. Socializing together makes it extremely unlikely that bad lower court judges will ever be disciplined for anything. Attorneys and judges can and do socialize provided there is no ex parte discussions of pending cases. They can, of course, discus previous cases, and attorneys can get to understand why the judge's philosophy as to how he rules on cases in a way others cannot. Judicial ethincs has become a contradiction of terms.
