In an old George Carlin routine titled "Leftovers," he says something like this:

Then months later when you rediscover it, and it's pulled away from the sides of the dish and there are various colorful things growing on it and you throw it away, you tell yourself, "Ha! I'm saving my life!
It's like that with Leftists and Teslas.
Teslas allow Leftists to preen and Virtue Signal, not once, but twice. The first time, when they boasted to their Lefty pals with selfies of themselves standing next to their new Tesla, they bragged, "Ha! I'm saving the Planet from CO2!" Years later when they post selfies next to the flatbed hauling away*** their Tesla, they can Virtue Signal yet again with, "Ha! I'm saving the Planet from Elon Musk!"
